Bustle # 1 This dress has a panel attached at the waist seam and extends from left side back seam to right side back seam, for the finished length of the dress. This photo shows all point bustled. |

Bustle # 4 This method is similar to the method using long strips of ribbons, but the panel replaces the long ribbons and each point is kept at its own spot and not allowed to move around like the suspended method. |

Bustle # 5 The bottom layer of points are let down. In this particular dress, the rest of the bustles are sewn to the panel permanently. But these too could be made to let down. This is a dress being worked on by Ellen Blacketer. |
